A total of 143 students completed the Survey for the class research project. 63 Males and 80 Females completed the survey. Ages ranged from 18 to 40 (M= 21 SD= 13). Self-esteem ranges from 1, very low, or 5, very high. We completed a study to see if there was a possible relationship between gender and self-esteem. Pearson's correlation was conducted between Male level of self-esteem (M=4 SD=2.5) and Female level of self-esteem (M=2 SD= 2.5). These results support the research hypothesis that the Female students have a lower level of self-esteem than the Male students. R(141)= -.054, p=.054.
